Our Dogs

  All of our breeding dogs are health tested for over 250 genetic diseases through Canine Health Check DNA testing and are OFA tested for the recommended tests for their breed.  They are not bred until approximately two years of age and females are retired around five years of age or earlier.  Most of our dogs are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club but our puppies will not be registered unless both parents are.  We enjoy doing obedience, trick training, and agility training with our dogs.

  Petra has one light blue eye and one dark blue eye.  She is a bit shy when meeting strangers but warms up quickly.  She is very playful and loves cuddling.  She is talkative and likes to gently mouth your hands while playing.

Carmela is a brilliant dog, earning seven trick titles before she was one year old!  She is currently training in agility and is excelling at it.  We will be competing as soon as she is old enough!  She has also just started nosework.  We had plans to breed Carmela in 2022 but need to ensure that her microscopic cataract is due to the eye injury she sustained as a puppy and is not something hereditary.  More investigation will be done before she is bred or spayed.

Henry is our newest addition and as an oversized toy poodle he will add a bit of a size variance into our lines.  He is very outgoing and loves other people.  He is just starting his puppy classes and agility foundations.  He will be our new stud if he passes all of his health testing!

  Bear is a very sweet and calm boy with a gentle demeanor who loves people.  He belongs to Bluepaw Kennel here in Nanaimo.  His first litter with Petra was born June 4, 2021!

 Mindy has one light blue eye and one half blue half brown eye.  She smiles when she is excited and loves to play with the other dogs.  She is a big time cuddler and loves doing agility.  Mindy retired from our breeding program in 2021 and is in a wonderful pet home with one of our past puppies!

Gypsy


  Gypsy (FCI registered name Belisima Mysterium) is a silver oversized toy poodle born June 3, 2012.  She originally comes from the Czech Republic.  Gypsy stands 11" tall and weighs 6 pounds.  She is a very sweet girl and loves to be with people.  Gypsy retired from our breeding program in 2019 and has been placed in an amazing pet home to enjoy her retirement.
Josephine


  Josephine (CKC registered name Donlar's Velvet Cupid) is a black toy poodle born December 11, 2010. She is 10" tall and 6 pounds.  Josephine is playful and loves to talk.  She retired from our breeding program in 2016 and is enjoying retirement in a wonderful pet home in Toronto, Ontario!
